ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – News 4 and the Red Cross are happy to report viewers helped raise more than $10,000 for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts during Wednesday’s phone bank.
But some viewers have asked how they can be sure their donation will really go to storm victims.
News 4 took the question to the regional CEO of the Red Cross, Cindy Erickson.
“When they make a donation they can just specify they would like for it to be used for Hurricane Sandy, so that’s certainly one way or they can just say disaster relief as well,” said Erickson.
Anyone who wants to donate to storm victims is asked to call 314-969-4444. People who would rather donate online can click here.
