KMOV earns top honors at Regional Emmys

 (KMOV)—KMOV News 4 earned top honors after winning multiple awards at the 35th Mid-America Emmys in Downtown St. Louis Saturday evening. 

The Mid-America Emmys honor outstanding achievement in local television broadcasting and KMOV won the top award of the night for Overall News Excellence.  This is the second year in a row KMOV has won this award.  News 4 also earned an Emmy for Best Newscast for News 4 at 10.

News 4‘s Promotions Manager Jason Holloway received an Emmy for Best News Promotion.  News 4 also won the categories of  Current Affairs Program and  News Special.

Both Jasmine Huda and Craig Cheatham won Emmys for Outstanding News Special in covering St. Louis Schools in a documentary series.

The 4-Warn Storm Team won multiple awards including Best Team Coverage for Storm Mode and Chief Meteorologist Steve Templeton won Best Weathercaster.

Sean McLaughlin, KMOV's News Director, won an Emmy Award for Best Team Coverage for a news station.

News 4 was also honored for Best Sports Story and KMOV’s Tom Zupanci won Best Coverage of a Live Event for the Thanksgiving Day Parade In 2010.

Overall, KMOV News 4 took home nine regional awards.
