
Steve Savard

Savard has won six Emmy awards, including Best Sportscaster honors in 1999, 2001 and 2003. In 2003, Savard also earned a first-place Missouri Broadcasters Association sports award for a special program, "The Cardinals - A Team to Remember." He has also served as the "Voice of the Rams" since 2000. His play-by-play work on the Rams Radio Network helped the Rams broadcasts earn "Air Awards" for the Best Sports Play-By-Play in St. Louis in both 2000 and 2001.
Savard came to KMOV Channel 4 from WVIT-TV in Hartford, Conn. His previous jobs were with KDBC-TV in El Paso, Texas, and KLUR-TV in Billings, Mont., where he began his broadcasting career in 1989 after an injury ended a short NFL career with the Dallas Cowboys. Savard was a two-time all-MIAA linebacker at Northwest Missouri State University.
Savard's involvement in the St. Louis community includes serving as "Honorary Chairperson" for the Alzheimer's Association "Memory Walk" and the St. Louis Crisis Nursery Golf Tournament. Savard also serves on the board of directors for the Tom Lombardo Chapter of the National Football Foundation and the College Hall of Fame.
Savard graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with degrees in English and Journalism. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and two stepsons, David and Brett. He also enjoys working out, playing golf and hanging out with his dog, Max.
