TORONTO (AP) — Canadian manufacturer Bombardier says one of its planes was forced to make an emergency landing in Blenheim, New Zealand, because of a landing gear problem — the third time in less than a week that one of its aircraft has experienced landing gear failure.
Bombardier spokesman Bert Cruikshank said Thursday a Dash-8 300, 50-seat turboprop experienced a nose landing gear collapse as it was landing on New Zealand's South Island. The Air New Zealand-owned aircraft was operated by subsidiary Air Nelson.
