TOPEKA, Ks. -- A Kansas police department is defending its decision to not arrest a man who was walking around town naked.

As it turns out, the nudity is not illegal.

The person who spotted the man took pictures as he strolled down a public street with no clothes on, but when the photo takers called police, they found out that a Kansas State Statute actually protects the man's right to walk in the nude.

Some Kansas lawmakers have argued to have the statute reviewed, but so far, those efforts have not led to any changes of law.
