(KMOV.com) – St. Charles County voters will soon decide if red light cameras will still be allowed in the county.

The St. Charles County Council voted Monday night to place a measure on the August ballot that would ban the camera throughout the county. St. Peters is the only city in the county that uses such cameras.

Those who support the measure say the cameras are nothing more than a money grab while some officials who oppose it said the getting rid of the cameras will force them to cuts programs that help the elderly and those with disabilities.
