(KMOV.com) – An O’Fallon, Missouri teen has been charged with sexually assaulting a child while he was awaiting trial for a similar crime.
Donald Knaust, 17, was on bond for a January 25 incident in the 1200 block of Tom Ginnever. In that incident, according to police, Knaust reportedly attempted to molest an 8-year-old child in a home.
According to court documents, the child attempted to get away but the suspect picked up the victim and took him into another room where he inappropriately touched the victim.

O’Fallon police said on Monday they received a call regarding a report of child molestation. Reportedly, the Knaust was alleged to have had deviant sexual intercourse with another 8-year-old victim twice in May in homes in the 1400 block of Garnett Drive and the 200 block of Cristal Ridge Drive.
He was on bond for the alleged January crimes during the time of the reported assaults. For the first charge Knaust's bond was set at $20,000 with a 10 percent payment authorized, meaning he paid $2,000 to get out of jail.
Knaust is charged with two additional counts of child molestation in addition to several other crimes, including false imprisonment, statutory sodomy and intercourse with a person less than 14 years old.
He is now held on $500,000 bond.
