(KMOV.com) -- Dardenne Creek is expected to crest sometime on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service, as rain pushes the creek several feet above flood stage.

The creek has has been above flood stage since 7 a.m. Friday. Water has spilled over the creek in several areas, closing Highway C north of Interstate 70.

Nearby Lonewolf Park has also experienced flooding, with some of the park's bleachers covered in water.

Steady rain has also caused the creek to run faster. No evacuations have been issued, but the water has crept closer to some homes.

Rosemary Gore, who lives near Mid Rivers Mall, said she is letting Mother Nature take over.

"I'm kind of just throwing up my hands and saying, 'Okay Lord, whatever you're sending, I'm getting it! Kind of a silly way to look at it but I've done all that I can do,'" said Gore.

Keep up with the latest flooding conditions
