Authorities investigate suspicious fire at Probation, Parole office in St. Charles

ST. CHARLES, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police in St. Charles, Missouri are investigation a suspicious fire at the Missouri State Probation and Parole officer Wednesday.

Authorities said the building in the 200 block of Compass Point Drive caught fire at 5:13 a.m. Police said the St. Charles Fire Department responded to the call and extinguished the fire.

A preliminary investigation revealed one of the office windows was broken and the fire appeared to be internally set.

Authorities said the building was forced to close to parolees after the fire. They said parole officers will be contacting their parolees to set up a different location to meet.

There are known suspects.
