FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill., (KMOV) – After knocking on the door of a cabin where a suspicious woman was seen, police found an active meth lab.
The suspicious acting woman was first spotted near the French Village Motel, and when police knocked on the door of the cabin where the woman said she was staying a large amount of smoke came billowing from the room.
One female and two males came out of the room, and no one had explanations for the smoke officers suspected was a byproduct of an active methamphetamine laboratory.
After being asked by the Fairview Heights Police Department, the Illinois State Police Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois responded to the scene and took over the investigation.
Katherine A. Brinkley, 22, Melissa L. Charlton, 34, and John A. Fosnock, 21, were all charged with aggravated participation in methamphetamine manufacturing, unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials.
All three of these individuals are presently in custody at the St. Clair County Jail with bond for each set at $100,000.00.
