ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Two construction workers were injured when part of a fire-damaged apartment building collapsed in midtown St. Louis on Sunday.
The partial collapse happened at 3949 Lindell, an apartment building that was gutted by a five-alarm fire in July.
A construction crew was apparently working inside the building when part of the structure caved in just after 2 p.m. Two men were taken to a local hospital in unknown condition. A third man was able to escape the building without injury.
Multiple ambulances and fire crews responded to the collapse. Officials say no firefighters were hurt in the rescue operation.
