(KMOV.com) -- A half dozen businesses, including the fire department, in Mount Olive were damaged by severe weather Monday night.
Mount Olive Police Chief Ryan Duggar said the buildings were damaged, but not destroyed.
Duggar also said they continue to assess the damage and ask that citizens stay inside so assessments can be made.
Businesses like Bill’s IGA grocery store sustained heavy damage with the roof torn off and thrown into other yards.
Mount Olive will continue the clean-up process.
Weather officials have not determined if a tornado was the cause of the damage.
