In remarks prepared for delivery Thursday, Romney says President Barack Obama doesn't understand how tough it is for the millions of unemployed people out there. He says it's unacceptable that a record number of Americans are now living below the poverty line.
Romney's speech at a factory in St. Louis is his latest effort to win over voters on the campaign's top issue of the economy.
He spent most of this week raising money for his campaign. He has held his public political events at businesses that he says would fare better if he were president.
