KATY PERRY, HEART PERFORM "VH1 DIVAS SALUTE THE TROOPS"

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Katy Perry figures any military man "has a soft spot for a girl that can be painted on their plane." One of Perry's outfits for the "VH1 Divas Salute the Troops" special was a long red gown with a slit up the side. Perry, along with Heart, Paramore, Sugarland, Grace Potter And The Nocturnals, Keri Hilson and Nicki Minaj, performed at Friday's show, which was shown last night on VH1. Heart's Nancy Wilson says she wanted to do something to show gratitude for the troops. Her sister, Ann Wilson, says she was born when their father was in the military and he was stationed at the base where the show was taped.
