ACA - CARRIE UNDERWOOD WINS BIG

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Carrie Underwood wins big in Vegas. Twice. Underwood has won her second country music artist of the year award this year in Las Vegas. The second was last night at the inaugural American Country Awards. Her first of the year was back in April at the Academy of Country Music Awards. Fans determined the winner for both of those honors. Underwood won a total of six awards at last night's ACAs. For the ACAs, fans could "vote early and often," as they say. They could post votes every day until a couple of days before the awards show. So, she thanked her "awesome" fans, saying she and her band "have had the most amazing year out on the road but we wouldn't be doing anything if there weren't people out there sitting in that audience."
