MICHAEL JACKSON: DOCTOR CHARGED IN POP STAR'S DEATH KEEPS NEVADA MEDICAL LICENSE
Credit: AP
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The doctor who was charged in Michael Jackson's death will get to keep his Nevada medical license. Authorities in the state have told The Associated Press that Conrad Murray will still be able to practice medicine -- after agreeing to a deal with the board that sets standards for medical credentials. The state medical board says Murray acknowledged making inaccurate and incomplete statements about his child support status. In return, he has received a reprimand and has agreed to pay at least $3,700 in investigative costs. The issue threatening Murray's license centered on the child support issue -- not anything authorities in California claim he did in his treatment of Jackson at the time of his death. Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's death. He has pleaded not guilty.
