OPRAH WINFREY: NOT EVEN A LITTLE ???
Credit: AP
NEW YORK (AP) -- Oprah Winfrey says not only is she not gay -- she isn't, as she put it, "even kind of a lesbian." A tearful Winfrey answers the question people have been whispering about over the years whenever they think of the talk show queen's relationship with Gayle King. Winfrey says King is "the mother I never had, the sister everybody would want" and "the friend that everybody deserves." She then gets misty-eyed and when asked by Barbara Walters why she's tearing up, Winfrey says she doesn't think she has told King how much she means to her. Winfrey says she gets annoyed when people suggest there's more than just friendship between her and King. For one thing, she says she wouldn't hide the fact that she's gay -- and that when people keep asking her if she is, it suggests to her that they think she's a liar. Walters' interview with Oprah will air tonight at 9 p.m, eastern time.
