SHAKIRA SNOWED IN, MISSES BERLIN SHOW

PARIS (AP) -- Shakira was snowed in at the Paris airport and missed her concert in Germany. Shakira canceled her show in Berlin Wednesday because Paris was socked with snow, according to German news agency DAPD. Concert organizers didn't know she'd be a no-show until an hour before the concert. Eleven-thousand fans had to be sent home. Shakira will make up the date. Paris was hit with four inches of snow Wednesday, which may not sound like a lot for North American cities, but Paris mostly gets rain.
