"THE FIGHTER" - MARK WAHLBERG

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Mark Wahlberg could relate to the real-life boxer he plays in "The Fighter." Wahlberg says he and Mickey Ward both got in a lot of trouble, but turned their lives around. They also both came from a family of nine kids. Both Wahlberg and Ward grew up in a working-class section of Boston. Wahlberg had to slip back into his accent to do the movie. He says it was a lot easier picking up the accent again than it was losing it. Wahlberg has just gotten a Golden Globe nomination for his role. The movie opens in more theaters on Friday.
