On March 19, the Denver Broncos announced it was signing former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning to replace Tim Tebow. Manning had not played in over a year after undergoing numerous neck surgeries, but by midseason, the future Hall of Famer had turned the Broncos into a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
