(KMOV)-- A Missouri judge dismissed a challenge to Proposition C, and ruled that it will remain on the August 3 ballot, pending an appeal.

The so-called Health Care Freedom Amendment states that Missourians would not be forced to get insurance, even though it's required under the new federal health care law. In his ruling, the judge found that if Proposition C passed, both sides agreed it would have no immediate, or near-term impact on the federal law.
