JEFFERSON CITY (KMOV.com) – The Missouri General Assembly is considering legislation that would allow teachers and administrators who have a conceal and carry permit to carry weapons in schools.

More than 25 lawmakers are supporting the proposal. The bill is being pushed in the wake of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut on Dec. 15.

State Representative Stanley Cox (R)-Sedalia says people might think twice about attacking a school of they knew the teachers might be carrying guns.
