CARTHAGE, MO (KMOV.com) - Some thieves used a unique method to break into a business.

Police say the burglars tunneled through a mini-mall to to get to a loan center. They started by tunneling through an outside wall; they later made their way through a blood center and another office wall before arriving at a loan center.  The thieves then took an undisclosed amount of money.

"They went through a lot of trouble to gain access to the different buildings," said Captain Randy Kaiser of the Carthage Police. "It just shows you how determined they were to gain access. It's not that uncommon, we see it from time to time."

Police are not saying how much money was taken. The businesses are still repairing all of the damage the culprits left behind.
