LOS ANGELES (AP) -- No, tossing a Frisbee on an L-A beach isn't illegal. The late night comedians have been poking fun at a revised Los Angeles County ordinance, imposing a $1,000 fine for tossing a football or a Frisbee in the sand. But county supervisors stress the new law just bars unsafe play on crowded beaches. They note it's been technically illegal for the last 40 years. But the officials add no one has ever been ticketed for beach ball playing.
