(KMOV) – The Christmas blizzard that hit the east coast will cost a North Carolina jeweler $400,000, and he’s okay with that.

He ran a holiday promotion, promising refunds for everything he sold between November 26th and December 11th, if more than three inches of snow fell in Asheville, North Carolina on Christmas Day.

The city received more than six inches.

The owner bought a special insurance policy for the promotion.

Now anyone who bought anything at Perry’s Emporium during those dates keeps the merchandise and gets all their money back.
