(KMOV) -- Target is now claiming the computer breach at their stores may have resulted in more information then just bank card numbers.

Customer names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses are among the information believed to have been leaked, according to notices sent to customers by Target.

Alan Johnston, a computer security expert at Washington University, believes the threat of the criminal virus has not seen its end.

"Unfortunately, we're going to see more of it but also the retailers need to up their game and improve their security, we've been telling users for years run secure applications and install anti virus, keep good passwords, it's time for them to do that now."

Computer experts are warning consumers to be vigilant as the threat of the criminal-virus will likely spread to other retailers.
