PITTSBURGH (KMOV.com) - Pittsburgh Police are questioning a boy about an apparent attack on a high school teacher in downtown Pittsburgh.

Police said the attack on 50-year-old James Addlespurger occurred in an alley off Liberty Avenue on Thursday afternoon. The incident was captured by surveillance cameras. Addlespurger is an English teacher at the Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts.

The surveillance footage shows Addlespurger walking by a group of teenagers when one of the teens stepped towards him and hit him. Addlesburger fell to the ground and hit his head on the curb as the teens were walking away.

Police say Addlespurger is currently recovering at home.
