Love was in the air at Kansas City International Airport on Monday when a South African man proposed to his Missouri girlfriend of three years. And all the passengers on George Erasmus' flight from South Africa were in on it.

Each passenger handed Ashley Kracht a flower as they got off the plane. Finally her boyfriend de-planed, handing her a bouquet of flowers.

Then he got down on one knee and popped the question to his surprised girlfriend. She said "of course."

“I've been planning this since like January, so it's been a long wait. It's hard to keep secrets so I was excited,” Erasmus said afterwards.

“I'm overwhelmed, I'm shaking. I did not expect this at all,” added Kracht.

Kracht thought she was picking her boyfriend up from the airport. She had no idea what was in store.

The couple met when Kracht was doing missionary work in South Africa.
