(KMOV)- An elementary school music teacher replaced the word “gay” in a famous Christmas song for students to sing, and parents at the school are upset.

The teacher said she changed the word from “gay” to “bright” because students kept giggling at the word.

After hearing about the change administration had the words changed back and parents are taking the time to explain to their kids that “gay” is not a bad word.
