(CNN) -- A YouTube video of a drugged husband waking up from an operation has gone viral after he seemingly mistakes his wife for a stranger.

In the YouTube video entitled “Seeing Her for the First Time Again” the man, Jason Mortensen, seemed to be waking up after a hernia operation eating a cracker, when his eyes focused on the woman beside his bed.

“Did the doctor send you?” he asked. “Man, you are eye candy.

The prettiest woman he’s ever seen, he said.

”My name’s Candace. I’m your wife,” his wife said.

“You’re my wife!!!! Holy (bleep!)” he responded. “Do we have children yet? ..Have we kissed yet?”

Some skeptics cried fake. But CNN got the lovestruck husband on the phone and he assured it was all true.

American Fork Hospital in Utah confirmed that Dr. Paul Robinson performed surgery on Mortensen on Aug. 21. Jason says his wife, Candice, has been by his side through five surgeries in the six years they’ve been married.

“How long have we been married? ...Oh my god, I hit the jackpot.” he said

Mortensen said he was a little reluctant to post the video because, for one thing, he didn’t like that he swore. He said it’s something he doesn’t usually do. Blame it on the anesthesia.
