Every building suffers tornado damage in small Kansas town

(KMOV) -- A small town in Kansas was hit hard by a possible tornado late Tuesday night.

The late night storm left two people with life-threatening injuries and were airlifted to a Topeka hospital.  Ten more people had minor injuries and they've all been treated and released.

Harveyville, Kansas is located about 90 miles west of Kansas City, Missouri and is a town of 275 people. According to authorities everyone in the town has been accounted for.

Residents have been evacuated to Mission Valley High School.

The town suffered lots of damage. According to reports 40%-60% of buildings have significant damage and 100% of the building have some form of damage.

The church located in town was completely leveled.

Power and gas has been shut off in the town.  Emergency management teams are in the town coordinating repair efforts.
