Pro football player from St. Louis killed in crash; Cowboys teammate charged
Dallas Cowboys practice-squad linebacker and St. Louis native Jerry Brown, was killed in a one car accident in Irving, Texas on December 8, 2012. Police say the accident happened at 2:20 A.M. when teammate Josh Brent, who was speeding, flipped his vehicle after hitting a curb. Brent has been charged with intoxication manslaughter. Brown was found unresponsive at the scene and later died at the hospital. Police also say Brent failed a field sobriety test. Both Brent and Brown were teammates at the University of Illinois.
