PHOENIX (AP) -- A Glendale man has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison for sending obscene images to a teenage girl in Missouri.
Federal prosecutors said Thursday that 61-year-old Barry Baker must serve three years of supervised release after his prison term.
Baker pleaded guilty in January to attempted distribution of obscene material to a minor.
Prosecutors say the father of a 15-year-old girl in Kansas City told police in 2009 that a Phoenix-area man had been communicating with his daughter online.
An undercover detective made contact with Baker online and posed as an underage friend of the minor.
Baker was arrested after authorities say he had multiple conversations with the detective through email and online chat sessions and sent obscene images intended to be seen by the Missouri girl.
