WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama and his family wrap up a brief weekend vacation in Maine today.
The Obamas came to Bar Harbor determined to avail themselves of everything the upscale resort has to offer.
There was boating on Frenchman Bay, hiking on a park nature trail, a trip up Cadillac Mountain, tennis and the pool at a country club, a tour of a lighthouse and dinners at harborside restaurants.
Back in Washington, the president's looking ahead to more wrangling with Congress heading for its August recess.
In the coming week, the president and fellow Democrats will butt heads with Republicans again over extending jobless benefits and a small-business loan program. Obama is also hoping the Senate confirms Elena Kagan to the Supreme Court before its August recess.
