CRANSTON, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island officials are asking residents to hold off on some household basics while the state deals with flooding.
With sewer and power infrastructure knocked out, people in the towns of Warwick and Cranston specifically are being asked not to flush toilets unless absolutely necessary or do laundry -- essentially, anything that would send more water into the sewage system.
People around Rhode Island are being ask to limit their water and power usage.
