Shoni Schimmel and the Louisville women's team walked into their New Orleans hotel lobby and received a standing ovation from the hundreds of fans who were there to watch the men's team play.

Fans held up signs with a giant glass sneaker with the words "Cinderella Story" adorned on it. Louisville is playing Connecticut in the women's final on Tuesday night.

"We got a lobby full of people cheering on the men's team excited for our game," Louisville coach Jeff Walz said. "I expect a bus load or two to come down from Atlanta. It's a great time to be a Cardinal. We're both competing for a championship and we'll see what happens."
