LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Two men were arrested and 900 pounds of marijuana was confiscated in Nelson County Monday night.

The Kentucky State Police said they arrested Hector Serrano and Gabael Suarez from a home in Taylorsville, near the Nelson County and Spencer County line.

KSP estimates the street value of the confiscated marijuana to be $630,000. The police say they also recovered $11,000 in cash and a shotgun.  The drug confiscated is known as "Mexican Compressed Marijuana", according to police.

Police were led to the home following a tip from the LMPD narcotics team.
