HICKORY, N.C. -- Two 17-year-old girls charged in the murder of a taxi cab driver entered pleas and received sentencing in Catawba County court on Wednesday.

Emily Kathryn Starnes, of Hickory, and Consandra Nicole Tyree, of Newton, pled guilty four felony charges each: accessory after the fact to murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, and obstruction of justice.

The girls were each sentenced to no less than 58 months and no more than 79 months in the North Carolina Division of Adult Corrections.

The charges stemmed from the August 2011 homicide of Hickory cab driver Adam Williams.

Matthew Gene Hopkins, Camryn Frederick Johnson and Robert Shannon McElwee are all under indictment on charges related to the homicide.
