(KMOV.com) -- A 14 year old was facing charges Monday morning because of a t-shirt he wore to school.
Jared Marcum from West Virginia wore a shirt with the NRA logo and a hunting rifle on the front.
Marcum said a teacher told him to take the shirt off and he refused.
The police were called and charged Marcum with disrupting the educational process and obstructing an officer.
Marcum said the shirt didn’t violate the dress code policy at school. And he said his first amendment rights were being violated.
Marcum was also suspended from school.
The school and police department have not made any comments concerning the situation.
