One out of every four youth is diabetic or pre-diabetic. That's according to a new report in the journal of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
The study looked at people younger than 20-years-old.
Alarmingly, children from infants to four years old were more likely to have a serious diabetic condition.
But, the number of diabetics between 15 to19-years-old has gone down.
More than half the patients had to be hospitalized at diagnosis.
