Woman accused of murder through arson turns herself into police

(KMOV.com) – Charges have been filed against a woman for St. Louis County accused of starting a first that killed one person.

Lakieshia Lane, 36, has been charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of first degree arson for allegedly setting a fire at a house in the 3800 block of Nelson in North County that killed Dana Williams on July 6.

St. Louis County Police said Lane turned herself into authorities Friday after police had announced she was a person of interest on July 15.

She is being held on a $500,000 cash only bond.
