(KMOV) – A University City woman talked to News 4 after she drove several hours to save a dog from death following a Craigslist posting.

Liz Pendleton said she saw an online ad last week in Illinois that said if no one took home a German Sheppard mix then the dog would be shot.

She said she was not sure if the person who took out the aid was serious.

“I couldn’t leave him. The ad had only been up for an hour and a half but I didn’t want to take any chances of him getting hurt so I left within the half hour of seeing the ad myself,” Pendleton said.

Pendleton said she doesn’t have room for the dog and is looking for someone to give him a good home.
