TROY, Mo.—It began as a prank, but a Troy, Missouri teenager is facing felony charges for damaging a practice football field.

Darrell Mozee, 19, was charged with property damage.

Police say Mozee went to a friend’s house Friday night. After the friend fell asleep, Mozee drove the friend’s Ford Mustang onto the Troy Middle School practice field, did several doughnuts with the car, then drove back.

School officials estimate the damage at between $800 and $1,500.

Associated Press contributed to this report.
