TROY, Mo.— It began as a prank, but a Troy, Mo. man was sentenced to three years in jail for damaging a practice football field in Sept. 2012.

According to court documents, Darrell Mozee went to a friend’s house and took his Ford Mustang after he fell asleep.

Police say Mozee then drove onto the Troy Middle School practice field, did several doughnuts with the car, then drove back. He was 19 years old at the time.

School officials estimate the damage at between $800 and $1,500.
