3 adults, 2 students charged with assaulting freshman in HS lunchroom

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOV.com) – Three women are in custody on charges of assaulting a high school freshman Wednesday.

Police say the women joined in when an altercation broke out in the lunch room of McCluer North High School in Florissant.

The women were reportedly at the school to take a female student, a relative of theirs, out for lunch. According to school officials, the women arrived at McCluer North and followed proper procedures. They signed in with the school security officer, and did not appear suspicious in any way.

According to security footage, the women were walking toward their relative when she got into a fight with a freshman student.

Officers say the relative and another student began fighting with the freshman, and the adults joined in.

At one point, according to footage, there were five attackers; three adults and two students  assaulting the freshman student.

School officials broke up the fight, and two adults and both students were arrested on the scene. After reviewing the footage, administrators also recommended the third adult be charged.

All three adults, identified as Jasmine Boyland, Ciera Hutson and Patricia Clark, are facing assault, tresspassing and property damage charges. The students are charged with assault and property damage.

The victim reportedly suffered minor injuries. Police are investigating the incident, attempting to determine whether the attacked was planned.
