(KMOV.com) -- News 4 is tracking a crime trend hitting a west St. Louis County neighborhood. Town and Country Police said an apartment complex has become a favorite spot for thieves and they want residents to better protect themselves.

Town and Country Police said the Willowbend Apartments off Highway 141 in Town and Country has become a target because hundreds of vehicles are being left unlocked.

Police said since March 24, four people have reported having items stolen from their vehicles.

Authorities said all of the thefts occurred overnight and all of the vehicles were unlocked.

Town and Country Police said all residents should keep their doors locked.

Police said if you have any information on these crimes or need to report any suspicious activities to call police. Reports can be made anonymously through Crimestoppers.
