COLUMBIA, Ill. (KMOV.com) – A long police chase ended in a crash Monday night.
Officers chased a vehicle from Cahokia down Interstate 255 just after 8 p.m.. The driver crossed over the Jefferson Barracks Bridge into Missouri, then back into Illinois on Route 3.
Police then caught up to the driver in Columbia. As News 4 crews arrived on scene, the car was being removed from the scene, showing significant damage.
Police have not released what led to the chase, or what charges are being issued.
