Suspect wearing ski mask shoots 3 in St. Louis neighborhood

 (KMOV) – St. Louis Metro police are investigating after several people were shot in north St. Louis City Monday afternoon. 

Police say three people were injured following a shooting on the 4500 block of Evans near Cora Street around 4:30 p.m.

According to authorities, an African American male wearing a ski mask and a dark hooded sweatshirt emerged from a nearby alley and opened fire on the victims. 

Two men and a woman were rushed to a nearby hospital where they are listed in critical condition. One victim is reportedly unstable at this time. According to police, the victims are in their mid 20s. 

Authorities say the suspect allegedly used a large caliber handgun and fired several rounds at the victims. 

Details into the motive or investigation were not immediately known.
