(KMOV) – Hazelwood police an officer felt forced to use a stun gun on two girls after a large fight broke out inside a north St. Louis County park on Saturday.

Authorities say a Hazelwood police officer responded to a call of a brawl at Musick Park near the intersection of N. Hanley and Latty.

Upon his arrival, the officer found 15 people fighting within a group of about 100. Police say the officer quickly stopped the fight except for two girls, 12-year-old Damaiya Brantley and an unidentified15-year-old girl, who refused to stop.

Authorities tell News 4 the officer used a taser on the girls he felt the situation was becoming too tenuous with the crowd. Hazelwood police say the officer warned the girls twice before using the taser.

Brantley contends police did not issue a warning.

"All I felt was a real hurting in my body and I fell on the ground and I got up and the police said ‘don't get up,'” Brantley said. "I did not hear a warning."

Additional details surrounding the incident were not available.
