(KMOV.com) -- A woman says she was stalked by a stranger while driving and when police caught him they learned even more frightening details.
Authorities said a female victim told them a man pulled up next to her vehicle on south Hampton and began following her. She told police she changed lanes several time, but the man still managed to stay close to her vehicle.
Police said the suspect followed her to a 7-Eleven where he was arrested by St. Louis County Police.
Authorities said that Robert Fitzgerald, 66, admitted to following a woman from south Hampton to the South County Shopping Center.
Court document allege police found a taser gun, duct tape, blankets, tools and pornography in Fitzgerald’s vehicle.
Police charged Fitzgerald with misdemeanor stalking, because there was no proof he intended to use the items found in his car.
